my qtp ory scrapes fairly often but i could probably adjust it up some but it will still be lower than i would like so you will definitely have to watch how you are driving over big dips in the road .

There are no clearance issues with the headers themselves, it is usually the y-pipe that has problems. The way you avoid this is by going to a shop and having a custom y-pipe made. Thats what I'll end up doing and my car is freakin low!

So I am wondering if I should go with the KOOKS. I heard they have better clearance then the QTP. Damn, I am so confused. I have the money ready, and I am not sure what to purchase...hmmm

I have QTP's and ProKit lowering springs. The only thing that hangs low are my high flow cats. Y pipe and headers are tucked up pretty nicely. QTP's are top notch. Just don't go with SLP's if you want good clearence.

I spoke to a tech at QTP the other day and he told me that the new LT fit just like the stock ones. But reading these post it seems like they have a ground clearance issue. I read a lot about how people say kooks have no problems with lowered cars. So I am probably going with the KOOKS.

The LT's themselves DO fit like stock ones (they tuck up amazingly well). Its their amazingly shitty y pipe that is pieced together that is imposible to get to tuck up without the drivers side hanging low.
If I had the money, I would ditch everything but the flowmaster part of the y pipe, and have one built for me by an exhaust shop.

I've seen others buy a merge collector and two cats, then take them to an exhaust shop. Is that what you mean?

We generally don't see issues with lowered cars. The y-pipe clearance can vary from car to car due to our design of the y-pipe and it comming in seperate sections. Its designed so that you can make it fit to your own application. If you guys have any problems feel free to call us!

I am very impressed with the feedback on QTP’s headers. What concerns me about the y-pipe (catted) as much as peoples’ grumbling about clearance is that it is not stainless. A lot of people seem to be excited about Kook’s new stainless y-pipe(s). I wish QTP would follow suit. Are you listening Alex @ QTP? Though, I do not know what could be done about the Flowmaster merge. The merge is not stainless, but it supposedly flows extremely well, and promotes scavenging.
