Pull them off and tape up the wire ends. A tuner will be able to delete them. All they do is tell your computer that your cats are working.

Well, while on the topic of rear 02's, I just got my Kooks Catted Y today, and it had bungs for the rear 02s. After reading the "EGR - AIR - O2" sticky, is there really a point to hook them back up? Or should I just plug the bungs and have them tuned out? Will the stock rear sensors reach back to the Y with no extensions if I need to hook them back up? Since it looks like they will set a code even if I connect them, may as well not even bother ya know?

My tuner is telling me just to unplug my rear o2s and tape off the connections.

Like I said they don't do anything really besides tell the computer your cats are working. The front o2s are the important ones.

I'm installing my Pacesetter LTs this weekend and will have them tuned out by Sunday.

I re-installed my rears. No extension was required. If they ever fail I will have the code deleted at that time. I figure I may as well keep them there in case I'm unlucky enough to run into a thorough inspector.

The fronts are my concern. A week after installing headers I'm getting the dreaded insuficient switching errors (p1133,p1153.)

...no codes from the rears though.

I bought a couple of plugs for the rear bungs on my catted-Y at autozone. I think there were actually oil drain plugs, you can find the tread pattern using search. I also run O2 sims in the rear, not SES lights since.

Are you getting a tune?

BTW - There's a sticky at the top of this page. I left it open so you can ask questions in it. After we answer your question, I'll add the info to the main body of the sticky.

As long as the light isn't on and the code is set to SES enable- no error reported, you should be fine
I love computers, so easy to fool

That's because they have alot of exhaust gas/carbon flowing by them at an incredible rate. Mine have 120k miles on them and still work perfect, but look like charcoal.
