Default cutout location

I was wondering if where I mount the cutout will make a difference in HP/Tq?
I got the summit 3 inch one with the manual cap. I planned on mounting it towards the back before the exhaust goes over the back axle, I figured around there I can get under the car with it on the ground and reach it.

It all depends what you want. You can mount it right after the y-pipe but you will get more vibrations. But it will be louder. I am mounting mine just before the muffler. It wont give me annoying rattles too much and it will be the easiest place to cap it if needed.

Do a search also, I have seen at least three threads on this in the past couple weeks. Just spend a lot of time searching and you will find more information than you will find just waiting for someone to reply to you thread, that is just what I have found out.

Good luck with your decision.

And that is why it is done now. Try the search function. That is why it exists.
