Default Oil temp gauge question

I just purchased an oil temp gauge for my LS1, where can I put the sensor in on the engine? I really dont want to drill a hole in my oil pan

You will need to drill and tap, but not the oil pan. Here is site I used when I did mine, it was a breeze:
