Bauer TB pics...
Some before/after pics on my TB I just received back from Bret - looked very nicely done IMO. Put it on and fired it up, no probs/codes whatsoever - hope it helps get me into some low 12 second passes this year...thanks Bret!

$140 for porting/polishing. You can get powdercoating for extra $$$ - for more info, his link is over there on the right

Looks killer! I especially like the attention to detail like counter-sinking the screws holding the bade on

JPR, so you actually flow tested my TB? Cool!
And I started having fun with it again today - it's been in winter storage so I haven't been behind the wheel since last November! So after putting the TB back on, I just couldn't resist taking it for a spin and get re-aquainted all over again!
Fenris Ulf, here's another neat little attention to detail - the adjustable bump stop Bret also adds to the package!

Really nice blend and taper job using the filler! Although 1000 cfm would satisfy most, I've wondered if the lower (inside edge when closed) leading edge ONLY of the open throttle plate would lend itself to some "sharpening"? Might it create unequal turbulance or idle problems when plate is closed? Anyway, GREAT job!!!

Re: Bauer TB pics...
Thanks for the comments guys.
Makes you wonder why a $700+ TPIS Oval TB is needed? 1000cfm for $140 vs 1200cfm for $700? Even I'll admit that 1000cfm is overkill. You would need well over 700hp at the flywheel to need 1200cfm. Not advertising here, just $/hp ratio gets a little out of hand when you are talking about a $700 TB. A oval hole is REALLY hard to bore, yeah but I still don't get that.
The wait list is my set back right now, I could use more cores definately. Hopefully we can get one to you soon Shane.

Re: Bauer TB pics...
I am super happy with mine, I sent mine to Bret to re-do, someone else did it and ruined it. Wow, it was a night and day difference, I would post pics if I could, but thanks Bret. My idle went up little, besides that, it's perfect.

Re: Bauer TB pics...
Hey Bauer I already did the bumpstop mod and started to remove the ridge but I stopped before I f#*ked something up. You can barely tell I did anything to it. Would you still accept my TB or do I need a new untouched one? Steve
