you might want to look into an exhaust pipe expander

It might just be oblonged a bit from shipping. If it is you might be able to straighten it out or bend the QTP collector to match.

By comparing them to a 3" piece of pvc pipe I had laying around I was able to determine that it is actually the collector that is mishapen. This makes sense since the duals were packaged nicer than the headers. I guess I'll just squeeze the collector a little.

For future reference OK 4wd seems to be the only place in jersey with a 3" or larger pipe expander.

I had the same problem. I had an expander though and took care of it. I have learned I am going to check all the lap-joints from now on.

Yup, just have an exhaust shop expand it slightly. Measure how much bigger you'll need it and let them know. Should only cost a few bucks, if anything (some shops around here are nice enough to do it for free). Just make sure they're gentle with it and don't expand it too much, otherwise it will start to rip down the sides.

It hardly needs to be any bigger. If they were both perfectly round a little lube would allow them to slide together. I'm going to first try to get the collector as round as possible. Also once I do get them to fit, should I use anything on the joint under the band clamps?

if u have had to force it on, it will not be perfectly round probably..get them welded if this is the case..You could use exhaust tape but i wouldn't.

As you can see, OK was only able to expand the first half of the flange. Will this be enough for the TDs to fit right? or should I cut it and take it back?

I didn't bother with the pipe expander. I cut a little slit (1/4 inch) and expanded it that way. It wasn't a problem because the overlap was a few inches and I used band clamps and a little aluminum tape. No leaks.

That's plenty. Some people barely use any on pacesetters because the clamp will hit the O2 bung on the header if you slide it on much farther.
