Default Has this happened to anyone else?

Slowly taking care of all the bugs after a heads/cam install...

I got my balancer on no problem, used a brand new OEM crank bolt, torqued it to speck after about 50 miles of mild driving the balancer is coming off.

It's come out about 1/2 inch... I caught it in time, so this weekend I'll take a closer look to see what the cause was.

Does anyone else think that torque to yield bolts are a stupid idea?

Anyways... tell me what you guys think.

never had any issue with them. your torqued it all the way according to install u instructions right? maybe you had a bad torque wrench, that sucker should not move.

No problems here..
Torque to Yield bolts work good if you follow the directions to the letter.

make sure you keep the motor from turning over when you torque the bolt and get yourself a long breaker bar or a ratchet with some long pipe to slide over to help you get some leverage
