Default 98 style coil packs on 99+ valve covers

easy question is it possible to use 98 coil packs on a 88+ valve cover? if so, how do you do this?

if you mean 1998 coil packs on 1999= valve covers then YES. The 99+ valve covers must have the coil brackets though. The coils will mount up to the brackets no problem. 98-02 are the same

So the answer YES !!!!!!!

Need coil pack brackets too, you can get them used pretty easily as well as from SDPC (I think) or GMPartsDirect (or whatever the site is).

Yeah, they're pretty much a bolt on. I think one coil per valve cover needs to be turned over so it will bolt up and you may want to reroute the wires to make it pretty. Also, if you buy the '99 up brackets new, and your retaining screws/bolts from the old valve covers won't thread themselves into the new brackets (the new ones are not tapped from the factory) you'll need to go to Sears and buy a M6x1 tap and thread the new brackets. (about $7 for a skin packed tap & drill ) The bracket P/N is 12563299 and they're $13.51 a piece from Scoggin Dickey.
