Thumbs up Done with the QTP's (updated) Finished!

So far so good. Both headers are in, I just have the y-pipe to go. The drivers side header sucked as everyone says, I messed with it forever, and then my friend got below the car and I tugged on it one good time and it slipped in there. The most time was spent pulling all the stock stuff out, and it does look so much better under the hood already. I left it on the lift to go back at in the morning. I am running a stock SS muffler, so hopefully I will have a sound clip soon, of course I have the QTEC also being installed this week. later.

Sounds like the same setup I have, QTPs with an ORY and the rest stock. I have QTP's dual cutout y though. Only about 3 inches of clearance and the driver side cutout motor doesn't want to clear the SFCs so I'm having an exhaust shop do some more bending. I really lke the sound. It stays pretty quiet unless you put your foot into it.

Well, I started it up today, damn it sounds good. That stock SS muffler sounds great with the ORY. If the sound I have is Rasp, I like it.
A couple of problems, Drivers side was a pain to get in, but it went. Passenger side is so close to the k-member I cant tell if its touching or not. The reducer is to big for my SS I-pipe so its just slid in there for now.
Good thing, no rattles except for the reducer and its only occasionally. Its acts as a haof open cut out and sounds really good.

For all you that say the QTP Y-pipe is a bitch, For some reason for me it was a simple task and hooked right up. Boy it does hang low though. Sound clips sooner or later.

The QTP Y-Pipe uses the Flowmaster Collector and it reduces 4" down to 3.5" for the I-Pipe. If the Y-Pipe hangs low, you do not have it adjusted correctly. Mine does not hang low at all and have excellect ground clearance.

The drivers side hangs low, no rattles either. The reducer is just to big to clamp down. The merge collector is in the right place. Thanks anyway. I'll just get it welded this week along with my QTEC.

I will be coming through there soon. It sounds really good, but its partly coming out of the Y-pipe because it was so much bigger than the stock I-pipe size. I just need to finish getting the Qtec on. Looks like you have a different ride now. Keep intouch.
