Kook's Lts install issue
I got the passenger side in alright but am having problems with the drivers side binding up when trying to weave it through from the bottom. Any ideas from whoever has done this install would be helpfull. It is on a 99 TA with an A4

I installed Kooks on my car and didn't have to take anything off or grind anything. Is the car high enough off the ground to get the right angle? You might also have to take off the oil filter and loosen the steering shaft.

I just put my set on a couple weeks ago. On the driver side I took the oil drain bolt out, then it slid right in. I was on a lift so that helped. Headers took about 4-4 1/2 hours including removing the old pipes, and plug swap. The real pain was the Y-Pipe, it was a really tight fit over the headers. Maybe it was the ceramic coating that made the fitment real tight, that took about as long to put on as the header swap did.
The header fitment is perfect, and the ceramic coating really gives them a nice look. The y-pipe was the worse part of the install. KOOK's headers are a nice piece.
Updated sound clip and video are coming soon. I can't believe how much headers changed the sound of the car. I expected a change in sound, but it surprised me. Not sure why everyone complains about the Loudmouth not sounding good with headers, but mine sounds wicked (no where near the sound of a dump truck). Wouldn't change my exhaust set-up at all.

Im having the same problem i just got some kooks with the td system and i already got the passanger side in. I cannot get the drivers side in i have tried manuvering but nothing tomorrow im going to try jacking up the motor. I was going to try loosening the drive shaft but dont have a wrench that will fit and socket wrench will not fit. Where is a safe spot to jack on the motor from?
