Default Katech new product release: Oil Cooler Adapter

Adding an oil cooler to your racecar? Upgrading your existing cooler? This compact, billet aluminum adapter allows you to utilize the ports already cast into your existing LSx block to plumb your cooler with AN -10 lines. When used with the Ron Davis radiator, this reduces backpressue to get more pressure to the engine. The adapter has clearly labeled IN and OUT ports and laser-etched logo. Careful consideration was taken during design to accommodate existing wiring harnesses and other objects in that area as well as fit with full length headers installed. The result is an attractive adapter that maximizes available space. Uses M6 x 1.00 x 45mm bolts and production gasket (included)

Thanks,

You could drill and tap it if you want.

Where exactly does it attach? Above the Oil Filter?

What are the two C6 ZO6 kits for?

Yes.

The C6 Z06 kit is for the lines to the radiator.

Tap the right side. The IN port.

Sorry to dredge this back up, but why do you tap the IN port? For comparison, Lingenfelter taps the IN port while DRM taps the OUT port. All things being equal, shouldn't you be getting temperature readings from the hottest oil in the motor, i.e. the oil going OUT to the cooler?

Just asking. Thanks,

-ch

Good point. I would say tap the out port also, but it is a matter of preference I guess.

Tap the sump.... That is the most accurate and consistant reading of total oil temp.

the sensor is too long for this.. there needs to be more "meat" on the IN or out side.. the autometer sensors are long.. so.. this is not going to work

Bringing this up from the dead...You can install a oil temp sensor on it. I drilled and tapped the bottom using the 1/4" npt adapter.
