Default custom true duals??

ive gone to several local shops and they have all told me the same thing, it is impossible on my car. well you and i both know its not and i tried telling them that but if they dont think they can do then i dont want them touching my car. so what are my other options? ive browsed through the td stickie and even searched but i havent quite found was i was looking for. my question is this, if i had a lift, mufflers, xpipe, and assorted tubing how hard and would it even be feasable sp? to do it myself? any opinions/comments are appreciated... oh yea, if possible i wanted 3 inch over axle...but ill settle for 2.5 if i had too.

If you can cut/weld and have plenty of pipe, it's cake. I built my new 4" y-pipe setup using a 4" grinder to cut with and a flux core welder. I'd never ran a bead before and it came out decent.

I also did it all on my back in the driveway.

Pshhh. I can stick a coke can under the 4" BULLET (5" OD) with the car on the ground and lowered 1".

Took me forever and a million years, but it's the epitome of high and dry.

It all depends on how much time you spend. You can throw one together in a day, and it will ride like ****. Take your time, and get it as close as possible, and you can put Sportlines on your ****.

98hardtopZ- We used the flowmaster u-fit 3" exhaust. If you go under the axle it fits great and has all the pipe and bends you'll need. I don't have pics up yet, but it tucks well and looks great. Find a friend who can weld and you're good to go. Flowmaster offers the u-fit in 2.5" also and both come with an h-pipe. I don't think either has enough of the right bends to go over on our cars. As an aside, the 31" Classic Chambered muffler will fit under our cars too.

well ive got 3" true duals that dump before the axles and at the end of the dump i believe i am 3.5" off the ground and i also have the SLP LT's. but with a 3" setup i dunno if its dif on camaros but it must be BC blur said that hes 5" off the ground, then the maros must have better ground clearance!!

We do have beter clearance....I've got trues with an x pipe, borla xr1s dumped at the axle and can go over speed bumps and pull in my driveway without coming to a complete stop...my buddy has a similar setup(without the x) and hits everything he comes across...his is a 2002 ram air,,,,,,,,my .02
