exhaust to loud
Just bought a 2002 TA with 9000 miles on it.Love the car but am not to thrilled with the exhaust. The guy I bought it from installed a flowmaster system. It's to loud .I drive it to work a couple of times a week and it's aqbout 80 miles round trip.It just resinates in the car, can't hear the radio and it's downright irretating.I need some suggestions on a quiter system.Thatstill sounds good but toned down.Mike

if you are looking for performance, id say LTs, catted Y, and either magnaflow or hooker catback. you be lucky and already have the headers. the real part is to find out what you already have an go from there.

Hey this is my first time on Ls1 tech but I understand exactly how you feel. I have a 98 Formula with Jet Hot long tubes, off road y-pipe, and Borla cat back exhaust. I'm not really getting the resonating sound in the cabin at all amazingly but picked up a horrible resonation at around 2,300-2,700 rpm that sounds like a crappy 4x4 with with straight pipes. Yah I would deff. check for headers or maybe an off road y-pipe I have been told my y-pipe is why I'm getting this terrible sound. Good luck
