Default All corsa owners...what header/ypipe do you run with your system??!

I have been running corsa exhaust on my 02' ws6. Corsa wasnt as loud as i expected so im going to wake it up with some headers and a ypipe.

just want to hear back from some corsa owners on what type of set up they have.

as of right now, this is what im thinking. Jet Hot LTs, jet hot y, and qtp electric cutout. Now as far as the ypipe goes......cats or no cats is the question. I know you must have cats for inspection in houston where my home address is, but im off at school in college station. I just want to know how big of a difference in sound there is btwn a catted y and a gutted y??

i also hear some good things about pacesetters too, so who knows.

i basically just want to get some ideas from corsa owners. Im going for more of a good deep aggressive sound. THANK YOU for your help it is much needed!!

I have Kooks headers and catted Y with mine. It was definitely louder and deeper than before. It sounded great. Now I've added that cam to the mix it really amplified the sound. It still sounds great but I think I liked it better before the cam. I do get lots of positive comments about the sound. It's still amazing how it can be so loud and aggressive and yet turn so subdued cruising on the highway at 70.

My bro is running SLP headers/ORY/big cam. We have tried it with and w/o cats. W/O cats the loudness increases a notch, sounds a little more extreme, but also was more high-pitched and raspy. With cats its toned down a notch, but has a better QUALITY of sound. The Corsa sounds raspy regardless but a little less so with the cats in. I would recommend sound w/cats

I have hedman headers and ory. Sounds really awesome, def A LOT louder than with the stock manifolds and y. If I was you I would go to www.texas-speed.com and get Pacesetter's with ory (if you don't have to worry about emissions). They have a sale goin on. Wish they could have done that a year ago...

i'm running a corsa right now on the stock y-pipe, stock manifolds and stock cats, but i've heard that when you run corsa with headers, run cats with it because it gets raspy. i've heard good things about the magnaflow metallic cats. i hear they don't cut down on the volume but they cut down on the rasp.
