85MM Throttle Body on LS1 Intake
So will a 85mm throttle body fit on a ls1/ls6 intake? currently i have a ls1 intake on my truck with the stock throttle body and plan on goin to the ls6 after the 1st of the year..and i was just goin to see if it would be worth going to the 85mm throttle body.i can get them for under 200 dollars where i work..

BUMP. I thought I read in another thread that there is a plate that goes between the TB and the LS6 that funnels back to 75mm.
That seems kinda pointless to me. Is it possible to portmatch the LS6 mani to some extent? Anyone run one of the 85mm with an LS6 and care to help me out with some explanation?

You need to have the LS1 intakes, TB opening, bored/ported to 85mm to work well with a 85mm TB. Do not use a reducing plate, as it will hurt performance, by causing a bottleneck restiction. The LS6 intake flows better than the LS1/LS2. I would go with that one instead of the LS1.
