Default Engine Cover Swap Question's

My new engine will be done this week.I am going from the Ls1 to a 6 Litre iron block. Is there anything different about these two that the cover's will not fit or just swap over. Anything Special that I need for the swap or is it just take from the old and apply it to the new . And what about the knock sensor's, do they just swap over as well. All help is appreciated, Thank's

When you say cover are you talking about valve or timing? All LSX's will practically take each others parts with no modifying. there are some instances where a tab has to be ground down. And you will run into this with the iron block. I would imagine that you are not going to be running 98 heads on the 6.0, so that would lead me to believe that you should be able to move a 99+ valve cover over to a 6.0 head 317 or an LS6 head 243. Sensors move right over as well.
