Default Problem during header install

So I'm taking off the passenger side header and I'm under the car un-bolting the furthest back header bolt when it shears off!!! I look at the thing and its about 3/4 inch busted off.

My question is how F'd am I with the rest of that bolt still in there??? How can I get the rest of it out? How do I get this sheared-off bolt out of the block?

I appreciate any guidance in advance...

Thanks

gonna have to rent/buy a screw extractor set. There pretty easy to use but you need paitence using them. If the bolt is sticking out do the ViseGrips thingy!!

I haven't got the rest of the header bolts out yet...so the header is still attached. I'l know how much I'm working with when I get the header off I guess...

You can also do what i did if you have a welder around. I was working on a car last weekend that a bolt was already broken off. Thankfully it was only the head. I slipped a 9/16 nut on it and then welded it to the bolt. Let it cool off and used an open end wrench and backed it out. Then i used a thread chaser to clean up the loctite that was in the threads. Worked great for me and took about 30 minutes of my time to complete the extraction.

this is exactly what i was going to say to do. i used the same process on a couple of flywheel bolts once. althought space to work will be hard to come by.

Don't have the space or the tools to weld....I'll try the vise grips.
