I bought this pulley off of ebay about a week ago.

Looks like an SLP or PowerBond. I've got a PowerBond so I'll check for sure for ya. I'm pretty sure it's one of these two because of the higher ribs to insure less chance of the belt to slip off.

It also reduces the rotating inertia on the front of the crankshaft allowing for faster revving. Man I really don't know about the double roller. I got an LS2 chain. Gates are good belts. Your probably gonna want a new crank bolt. GM part # 12557840

i have the exact same pulley on my car. i was told that it was an asp pulley when i bought it. its the pulley they were selling prior to the sfi approved one they sell now.

Is there any gains from having the new style ASP as opposed to the older style like I have?

i believe the only difference is the walls are higher on the new ones to help prevent the belts from jumping off.

Interesting...It looks like an older SLP to me. Your gonna need to do some checking to see if it compatible with a double roller tho.

Thats what i was thinking, the SLP/Powerbond that i installed has a machined surface, no black on it at all...

i just got an slp, and that is definately not one
