Default Stock tips on 3" duals...

Has anyone done this? I would like to do this with my dual setup. I have a Flowmaster 3" h-pipe and Flowmaster 1 chambers sitting in my closet. I've been waiting for a warm day here in Ohio to install them, but the more I think about it...I think I'm just going to have a muffler shop do it. But I also have turndowns, as I am planning to dump it...but I also love how the stock "mailbox slot/rectangle" tips looked on my Camaro. Question is, can this be done? My tubing is 3" and I believe the stock tips are 2.25" so if anyone can answer this...it is greatly appreciated. I was planning on dumped...but my plan now is out the back with stock tips...***** to the wall with the stock look.

yep just neck the pipe down to match the tip.

Magnaflow sell stainless stock looking tips if you're interested (check on Ebay as well).

I agree, just get a transition for the size required. In this case 3" --> 2.25". Your exhaust shop should be able to provide this.
