Pros / cons to deleting EGR/AIR???

Default Pros / cons to deleting EGR/AIR???

ive heard with doing headers and just in general some people remove the EGR/AIR system from the car. im still a little new to specific ls1 stuff so wut does the system do, and what are the (if any) pros/cons to removing it and such?????

Cons are not having a car that can pass inspection( if your state requires it) And orginality- if its a 2002 ss with 1500 miles on it dont touch it.

Pros are less engine clutter, better acces to plugs etc ,cleaner engine bay. and thats about it nothing that special or H/P related

im guessing the mod thread? (read thru the whole thread wayy too much lol... tho its made me more convinced on doing headers myself when the time comes) it goes into taking it apart but i dont see anything else. so basically i just makes the car pass emissions but doenst make a difference hp/performance wise?
