Default KOOKS catted Y!!

I finally recieved my catted Y-pipe from kooks so hopefully i will be able to install my headers this weekend. What do you guys think about the flanges that come with the kooks y-pipe? are they good? or should i use something else? THANKS!!!

I assume you mean the flange gaskets. They should be black Percy's Carbon Seal gaskets, which are very nice.

Get some good pics of what they look like installed! I also recommend you install all the header bolts, but leave them almost backed out. You'll need to swing them out to get the y-pipe slipped into itself and installed.

Im talking about the Torctite clamps that come with the kooks Y-pipe. did you guys use them? or would you guys recomend something else? THANKS!!!

I used the 3 clamps that came all taped together with the Kooks. Works fine with no leaks. If you want to be extra cautious, wrap some aluminum foil around the joint before you put the clamp on. The clamps you have are fine though.

They work badass, best thing besides a V-band for exhaust connections.

Pep-boys u bolt clamps suck so much *** it cannot be measured.... I loved my band clamps! Next to a flange there is nothing else I would even consider running.

Def tighten them hard y hand. I was in a hurry to get done and just tightened them with the impact gun. The leaks were horrible.
