will just putting some hi flow cats get rid of it or what

yeah it should. get the Magnaflow spun metallic core cats. i think EAD Performance has them at a good price

Put a airwick on you visor. Works great when i fart !

well the smell doesn't bother me when i'm driving it but it is when i get out and my clothes smell like gas from a short trip to the store

i had twin high flow cats(1 after each header) and it quieted the car down a little and im sure it helped on keeping the gas smell out

The spun cats are the way to go. Nice and small and the reduction in flow is minimal.
Helps keep down the rasp and the smelliness. (which in turn may keep the 5-0 off your case)

I have never heard of anyone being pulled over for having a smelly car. Unless it is a Geo Metro that is smoking like a diesel @ WOT.
