Diameter of the end of the stock y pipe??
I dont have a catback right now, so Im looking to just put a bullet muffler of some type on the end of the stock y pipe. Im not sure what diameter the stock y pipe is, but I know its reduced at the very end for the catback to slide on. Does anyone know what size it is at the very end? What diameter bullet do I need to buy to fit the end?

Y-pipe to I-pipe is a 2.75-inch connection. Most aftermarket catbacks conform to this. I also think most header ORYP's conform to this as well since they're supposed to work with the stock exhaust. If not, they would require some minor cutting of the I-pipe and connect where it's diameter is 3 inches.

That's a replacement i-pipe for the stock exhaust system.
