Make a TD setup quieter?
I got my TD setup fabb'd over at a local muffler shop with some spiral flows running 2.5" pipeing all the way to the back with my tips turning down to point to the floor alittle. i have an ms4 cam in there and it sounds all nice and pretty when its in park, when i stick it to drive that's when it gets louder. i honestly dont like it being so loud when i'm in gear and at a stop light. it seams to get louder when i'm stoped there than when i'm driving down the road. my interior rattles like crazy and was wondering what i could do to quiet it down alittle but still not loose a butload of flow? i'm trying to think of ways but none really come to mind, i've seen those cones and stuff on summit, but wanted to see if someone actually tried them and had first hand experience with them. anyways TIA

You could weld in a dual-in dual-out muffler where the stock muffler usually resides, and then run it out the back. It will quiet it down quite a bit. Also add some cats on there, but a full size muffler will quiet it down more. I would do both.

Yea as trmin8r said dont add cats! If the duals are dumped under the middle of your cabin/right before the rear axel try to have the shop run them out the back and add a pair of single in single out magnaflow mufflers (the ones with the tips). Should quiet it down a lot and still flow well. if they are already run out the back then maybe toss two more bullet mufflers (like the magnaflow bullets) into the dual system if you can.

I am having the same problem and i was told if you replace the bullets with Borla XR1s that it will quiet it down. I have Twisters in mine and it gets annoying driving it everyday. I set off alarms everyday without fail. Well goodluck.
