Default Upcoming Header Swap question...

Right now I'm running Mac Mid headers with Catted Y-pipe, but i'll be swapping them out in a few weeks to Pacesetter longtubes and off road Y.

With the Macs my current best timeslip is 12.81@110. Anybody have any idea how much difference it will make in my trap speed going with longtubes and no cats instead? I want opinions whether it'll make a difference, because i don't want to be disappointed if i trap the same mph. Thanks

Just cut the catts off the Mac's...I used to run low 12's with my Mac's and ORY.Mac's are pretty good and I don't think you'll see much of a difference by switching.

Don't get your hopes up. You're not going to hit 12.10's by swapping to LT's. You will make more power, and they will REALLY shine when you start modding the motor, but you may only gain 1-2mph out of the swap, if that much.

I just switced from mac mids, ORY, and borla to Pacesetter LT's and tsp duals. I definetly noticed a difference. But i dont know if it came from the headers, duals, or a combination of both.

I was only expecting a couple mph gain maybe. But i heard the mac cats don't flow that well, so i was thinking i'd see some gain from getting rid of them.

Not to much of a gain from getting rid of the cats...maybe 5 hp or so. I took mine off for the sound and not performance.
