Default Spark Plug gap with H/C/I & 42LB injectors

I have somewhat of a tune on my car with H/C/I and 42lb injectors. It seems to be running somewhat rich but not as bad as before it was tuned. Im running NGK TR55's (store didnt have TR6's) but its doing it with the TR6's as well my plug gap is about .35 . With the bigger injectors would it be a good idea to try to gap them at say .45 ? Would it help burn more of the fuel in the cylinders? Or is there a hotter plug to try? When cruising the car seems fine but it is somewhat rich. Pulling up to a stop it will idle where its tuned to but after 30 seconds or so you can tell the plugs are having a hard time and it takes a few minutes to clear it out when driving. Any suggestions?

if those are platinmu plugs dont change the gap at all from how they come out of the box or you'll trash the plugs. their only platinum coated and you'll scrape tha platinum right off.

Have you tried a smaller injector? Why a 42 on heads and cam? 36 is plenty for stock cubes.
FWIW: I run 55's right out of the box on my SS and Z28. H/C/I and 30# and 36# SVO's.

** UPDATE** I was a littel bored last night and stepped to a hotter plug and gapped it at .055 it actually idles in gear when its cold now and pulls HARD all over the place. I was told I needed the 42lb'ers with my setup otherwise the other injectors would be running at their highest duty cycle. The car made 414 RWHP through a LOOSE converter and a slipping transmission only the dyno graph showed. I dont think fuel is an issue right this sec. The car is tuned speed density and will lean out once it warms up so cold starts are a BITCH. Im gonna take it out today and see what else I can figure out

I run 30#'s with my setup and my duty cyle never goes above 70% during WOT. Just food for thought.

I have the same question, any pros out there have any recommedations as far as what plugs to run? I'm in the same exact shoes as Automagic

I went with the bigger injectors to "plan for the future" lol.
