I started my Professional Products Typhoon swap today
Well today I took the plunge and started on the intake swap. I planned on finishing it in a day, but it didnt happen. I started at about 11:30 and had the intake off by 12:15. I used a shop vac to get all the dirt and leaves that clutter around the head bolts, and I scraped the stuff off of the heads.
I then took the ls1 coolant lines off and began to modify them. I dont think it is a very good idea now. I am going to see if I can get the ls6 coolant lines from the dealer on Monday. I cut it all up and used a t for each to connect the front to the back and I was going to run a line to connect the front and the back. I think it will be better if I just get the lines and do it right so it doesn't leak ( I dont even know what the ls6 lines look like or how they are routed).
I then put all the ports on the manifold and the map sensor which I had to modify the clip that holds it so the sensor was in the right direction. I then glued the gaskets so they would not move while I was putting the manifold on. While putting the manifold on, the oil pressure sending unit had broken and I noticed that the gaskets cover the intake ports on the heads. By now its 3:00 and I just have to give up because there are no places to get the items.
So tomorrow I am going to stick some rags in the intake ports and use my dremel to fix the gaskets. Hopefully Monday I can pick up the oil sending unit and ls6 coolant lines from the dealer. I have only taken one picture and thats with everything off and except the coolant lines. I will be taking more pictures as the install goes. I am hoping to wrap it up early Monday.

No, it comes with gaskets. Its not plastic, its aluminum.
I now have to wait a couple more days to get my oil sending unit and ls6 coolant line and two plugs. Im thinking about just connecting the rear with some 5/16 fuel line instead of blocking it off. Good idea or not?

Mine has no bling, but all I can say is **** those fuel rails. I finally got everything back together and let the pressure build up and fuel streeming out of EVERY injector. So after 3 times or trial and error I finally got it. I used longer bolts, and washers to shim it out. It would have helped better if the 4 brackets that hold it down where the same size each way.
I had to modify my HSW brackets to make them fit, and I trimmed the throttle body gasket. I just started it up and let run for a few minutes, there doesn't seem to be any leaks, vacuum or fuel. Tomorrow I'm going to let it run for a while and drive it down the road and see how it does.
Oh yeah, I found out the hard way that you SHOULD place the injectors in the manifold and then push the rails on starting from the BACK. I did one each way and putting the injectors in the manifold was far easier than trying to push them in with them on the rails. Yes I did use lubrication on them as directed.
As for the Professional Products Company, they have wonderful customer service and got me my parts next day air that did not come with my intake.
