Default LS6 Intake

I seem to remember reading about this before, but search isn't working...

I'm thinking about getting a used LS6 intake off of a 2001 Z06, are all GM LS6 intakes the same as far as performance is concerned?

Also, do all castings have the ribs on the bottom? Are there any negatives to grinding those ribs down, such as sealing or heat stability issues? I'd sure rather leave the coolant lines alone if possible.

yea all LS6 intakes are the same, but I would be carful about grinding it down if you dont know 100% what your doing, personally I would just drop 30-40 bux on new collant lines for the peace of mind

I was under the impression that the re-routing of lines entailed blocking certian coolant ports off, which I'd like to avoid...

If you don't want to plug the rears another option is to run two front coolant pipes.
