If I can get a soundclip of my trual duals on here...you would understand why I have no intention of ever going back to a catback system. A 2.5 inch pipe coming from pacesetter headers both sides right beside each other all the way back over the axle into a bullet magnoflow muffler on each side.

I'm just curious because it grows on you. It's something we all love to hate here but I know it has to grow on a lot of you, maybe not. I'm just tryin to decide if I wanna do another y-pipe setup on my new car or put on an x-pipe. I have a tsp rumbler catback sitting in my garage that I never used and I have new headers on the way and I could get a y-pipe for $200 and have a full exhaust. I also have a Lane's 3" x-pipe sitting in my garage that I was gonna put on my old car but it was totalled. The thing about the x-pipe is that it is made for FLP headers which I no longer have so it will need custom fabrication to add some extensions to slip over the headers, and then add some piping to change it from dumps into running under the axle and I would want the custom stuff 3" mandrel bent so I imagine it may cost almost as much as a y-pipe. I'm not sure which one to go with.
