Default Had loudmouth, now magnaflow, but just not happy....loudmouth II?

Here's the deal...had the loudmouth with the y-pipe and LOVED it! The drown would get to me driving long trips with the windows up, but that's about it. Over the winter I put pacesetter longtubes, cats and the loudmouth back on. Absolutely sick....way too loud...liked it, but just knew I was gunna get pulled over, anything over 2,500rpms just crazy. So I bought the magnaflow, because of great reviews. It is a beautiful system, sounds good, great price, but to me it just isn't loud enough. Does anyone have the loudmouth II, or suggest it. I really didn't want to buy another exhaust, but they make the retrofit kit. I'm just not happy with the way it is, and I don't like the tips on the magnaflow...just not my thing, I like the dual/duals. Thanks for all the help!

I have the loudmouth II with stock manifolds and y pipe..It is not as loud as my friends loudmouth but it is not quiet either. I have no rasp and the drone on the highway is nothing you cant handle. Not sure what it would sound like with your setup. I am going to find out in a few months when its time for headers and a catted Y. I say buy the retrofit and see how you like it, if you dont then just sell it on here

i went with the LM2 because i do a lot of highway driving and i knew that drone was going to bug the **** out of me. that being said, i have shorty headers, no cat, and LM2 and i think it sounds pretty good. not as much tone as i was hoping for but, it gets me a lot of compliments. no drone on the highway either. i have an auto with granny gears (2.73) though.

How do you pull off the no cat in california gig? I would think that if you were bothered by noise you would want some cats for a quieter tone.

i had my buddie and the exhaust shop cut out my cat and put flanges on both sides. then i had him put flanges on a 3in pipe of equal length. i also had a cutout put in the 3in hallow pipe for funsies. basically, all i have to do is undo a few bolts, put on the cat if i need it smogged and silicone it so it doesnt leak. the cat was on for a total of two hours. then it was right back to the 3in pipe. i love loud exhaust, i just hate the annoying pitch of that drone.

We sell a lot of LM's, and LMII's. The LMII has become more popular now because most people don't want an obnoxiously loud catback. LMI is a 10 on the loudness scale, where an LMII is like an 8.

If you are interested, we have some sick SLP sales going on-
http://marylandspeed.com/index.php?cPath=49_73

We price match, and stock the exhausts, so we can get them out quick.

Thanks!

Wow, that exhaust shop has ***** of steel. I bet that is every bit of a $250,000-$500,000 fine...especially in CA.

we are very easy going on cats and exhaust here in florida....

i thought it was funny when i went to an exhaust shop in the county i worked in, being a S.O. i asked the guy to weld up my catless duals....i knew he'd done it before with other people....sooo he was kinda dumbfounded...."im sorry man i cant, 20k fine, and theyll close my shop"....told him i wasnt going to report him to anyone but i respected his decision

It was a joke. I would never do it either.
I don't take anything anywhere. The second you look away they stop smiling and bring out the hammer to fix the problem.

Sorry about the ....go on with the chlorophyl!

I love my lm2. It was really quiet on stock manifolds but now since I added headers and a cam it has awaken. Its definitely not quiet anymore but not crazy loud like the lm1. It has a nice tone while cruising from idle to anywhere from 3000 rpm it has a nice tone. screams at wot and no drone on the highway. Worth every penny. And before you asked, I am working on getting some video clips, but bad6as has some on streetfire under his last name Brumley.
