Default o2 extensions

So i got my pacesetters today and wasnt thinking completely when i order them.... i saw they came with the o2 extensions and didnt think that it would just be wires...

so being i dont really want to spend another 50 bucks and wait for jegs to ship them out

how hard is it to splice the wires in the pacesetter kit?

looking for people that have done it or know how to do it..

thanks

Its very easy! I did it on my car and everything is good.

You just need to splice the wires on your stock 02's. Then make sure you cut the right amount of wire off of the wire pacesetter provides. Splice the provided wire and use the connector to attach them. Then re-do the process with all the other wires.

yea basically.

Just make sure the connectors are clamped down tight. And double check all of them when your done. Give them a little pull to see if they are loose.

Those are crimp-on butt connectors. They are used to connect two wires together.

Just FYI, it is a VERY BAD idea to extend the wires on the SENSOR side. O2 sensors use stainless steel wire and are calibrated for a particular length wire. if you lengthen this wire, it will effect how the sensor reads causing you to run overly rich. If you are going to cut and extend, do it on the vehicle wiring side.

You will not be able to crimp correctly or solder onto stainless wire.

Take those red "things" and pitch em. They are subject to noise and corrosion. We don't even allow them in the building.

HTH.

Yea I do not recommend using the Pacesetter ones, because those only gave me troubles and were a true pain in the @$$. I went to LS1speed.com, and bought the O2 extensions. they work phenomenal, I didnt have any reading problems with my O2's after that. with the pacsetter, the wires will come lose over time due to heat/vibration.
