Default Can you identify this exhaust?

It's a 2000 SS. Can anyone tell me about it? Is it just stock with tips? is that rust normal? Should I avoid buying this car because of it?

What about the rust? Does it need to be replaced?

YES!! it does... flowbastard or shitmaster's are not exactly the best flowing muffler.. sounds good.. but if you want to releive your engine and let it breathe.. get something else... not a big deal to swap it out..

I also think its a flowmaster muffler.

If the car is all good i would still buy it. That exhaust is easily replaced

Is the rust going to be an issue? Seems like a decent amount of it underneath in the picture or is that a norm for these cars?

The only thing I can see thats really rusty is the exhaust and you can (and should) easily replace that. If the rear axle is a little rusty that's no big deal at all.

Cant see much from that pic.

I wouldn't worry about the rust man. It's a cheap-o exhaust, thats why it's rusting and thats why the pipes coming out of the muffler are so small. Don't let that stop you...

It is a flowmaster. Just dumpster it and start from the heads back.
