Default FAST 90 intake monifold hiding question

Just a thought that popped into my head and figured I would ask. I want to keep the engine bay as stock looking as possible and I was wondering if anyone had any input or maybe has done this themselves. Could you possibly sand down and get rid of the exdention that says FAST on it and sand down the whole intake manifold and have it painted black or coated with something thats not too bad for creating higher heat temps so that one look at it and it would appear to be the stock intake manifold? Might be dumb but I was just wondering.

yes you can do that but I don't know how you could duplicate the texture of a stock intake manifold

Yeah thought about that too, and that I would probably have to deal with it, but the majority of the people that would look at it probably wouldn't know. That or some sort of coating that is smooth like the stock one.

if you sanded it down smooth and painted it to match your car or an accent color, you could just tell people you painted your stocker

Is there any downside to painting the manifold? Like will it make the intake air warmer?

At the end of this vid you can see what my Fast looks like. Sanded off the emblems and painted it black with Engine Enamel.

I ***** out those pix as often as possible.

The humps are alot bigger, so you'd have to be savvy to not notice.
and the TB will be a dead giveaway.
But yeah, sanding and painting is easy, just use a non gloss black, or flat black and it should work.

Well I just want everything to look plain and blan like stock. To most of the people this is for they won't notice a damn thing as long as nothing is too shiny or logo branded. That TB is kind of obvious though, I'll just say I polished it
