muffler is rattleing not sure why?

Default muffler is rattleing not sure why?

ive got flowmaster mufflers(i know iknow) and ive had them for about 3 years and just recently im hearing a rattle in the muffler and I have no clue what it is or how to get in there and fix it. Any idea's?

There are lots of possibilities. I'd say get under there and try moving stuff around and see if it hits anything. Mine was banging on hard launch, turned out to be the over the axle pipe hanging too low. It could be anything, just see where it's close or if it hits. Then you can decide how to fix it.

yea i got under the car and banged the muffler with my fist and it rattled some. There is no contact with the pipes and the actual car it self...It really sounds like the rattleing is coming from inside the muffler. The only thing I can think of is that some deflector plate (or whatever is called) has been busted off or has come loose. What do you guys thing?

Sounds like you have something inside the muffler, maybe somethings broken inside an just rattling around in there. Time to upgrade!

Flowmaster has a bunch of metal plates welded in there to direct the exhaust gasses. I haven't heard of these coming loose, but it's possible.
