Default Questions as to tube size on exhaust?

I am building a ls1 powered rx-7 and am using a ss motor from a 01 camaro. I am using a set off long tube header with a oulet of 3 in. at the collectors. Question is would I make more power with a dual 3 inch x piped exhaust, a 2.5 dual exhaust x piped, or running 3 inch to a y to asingle 3.5 or 4 inch exhaust. Mods are headers, intake, and 150 shot of spray. Future mods will be heads and cam. Judging off the mods what exhaust would net the most power? I am leaning towards the dual 3 inch.

Lets test my external section might.

1) (someones bound to say it) Read the stickies [at least that exhaust one] but I'll give my quick and dirty guesstimate.

2) With your plans, 3" duals would be more than enough for what you will eventually make.
Head+cam+intake+exhaust ~ 450hp ish. = 2.5" dual.
Add a 150 Shot = 3" dual will be more than enough.

If you've got the room and the means go duals.

Can I get some confirmation on the above...?

Whats the room like on an RX7 for routing exhaust?
I would imagine it would be tighter than on our cars, which is no fun with duals.

Also please god let that be you in your avatar.

All depends on what your goals are for the car overall really. What power range are you shooting for?
you are going to have to tell us a lot more about the project if you want the best feedback you can get.

Ideal goals would be to make as close to 450 as possible on a all motor setup. I am stock short block now and plan to use spray till I get a nice head and cam setup. I read the sticky but didn't get much from it. Let me know what else would help gauge the exhaust size. In all reality I probably won't use the spray with the head and cam setup. No thats not me in the avatar.
