There are a very few "freak" LS1 intakes out there that do not gain anything by swapping to an LS6 intake so you should gain 10-12rwhp with a LS6 intake and properly ported TB swap.

seems pretty low considering the price of a ls6 intake compared to the price of a porting a tb lol

Its not really that bad since it will be across the board gains of that amount and maybe a few more.

I gained nothing from the ported TB. I did the ls6 intake the same time I did the 4.10 rear end and my rwhp was the same as before. So "IF" I gained 10rwhp from the LS6, I lost 10rwhp from the gears.

I didn't see anything at the track from my ported TB. Where it really shines is in part-throttle responsiveness in town. Major difference there. My track testing indicates a gain of .05 et and .5 mph on average with the LS6 intake.

Consider the LS6 intake a foundational mod for other mods - especially headers and cam. It will really start to shine when your airflow begins to improve. For the money involved, I consider the ported TB to be a great value. The enhancement in driveability is well worth every penny, IMO.

I'd make a call on a cam package. Whoever you want based on power desired. Start trolling the for sale threads for a used FAST setup. Again depending on funding and time, and your ultimate goals.

If you can, I'd say do intake, LTs and a quick tune at the same time as the LS6. You'll want to go this route to prepare for a future cam, and the improvement for this particular combination of mods is distinctly noticeable and worthwhile.

If you can't do all this at once, just know that, by doing intake before LTs, there's some additional potential locked up in the intake that LTs will help bring out when you finally add them.
