Cut&weld egr connection on FLP header?

Default Cut&weld egr connection on FLP header?
I have the 'early' FLP headers on my 02 car (which has no external EGR). I'd like to get rid of the flange & block-off plate.

Has anyone cut these off and welded the holes shut? The FLPs are stainless steel, right?

Don't have those headers, but I cut off and welded shut the AIR and EGR holes on my MACs.
