Anyone have Mufflex 4" (Flowmaster)with "big" cam? I had a Mufflex 4" (Flowmaster) on my 2000 A4, and it sounded awesome, now I wish I had it with mods in sig. Anyone have any soundclips or input as to how this exhaust sounds with a big cam, headers and orp? TIA, Shawn

Believe it or not, I am actually looking for as quiet of a non-restrictive exhaust I can get; will be running bullets or spirals (I have a set of each being made up with V-flanges, so I can swap 'em out FLP style) immediately after the collector, plus the 4" Spintech, so hopefully it won't be too bad...

Re: Anyone have Mufflex 4" (Flowmaster)with "big" cam? I'm running it. I have a '99 with A4 and vig. 3600. My cam is 230/237. It sounds great! It's quiet but with a big rumble. Everyone calls my car Blue Thunder. But when you get on it, it sounds like an all out race car. I LOVE IT!!! Sorry, no sound clips though.

Re: Anyone have Mufflex 4" (Flowmaster)with "big" cam? I think that this is the best thing about the Mufflex 4", You dont need ear plugs when ideling, but when you are on it. It has class and a deep *** tone.. Will a cam change this in either direction? I am curious to..

Does the Mufflex have any drone or rasp to it?
BTW, this system has about as "low" of a tone as you'll get because of the 4" piping. Not super loud like a wide-open Borla or LM, but great deep sound IMO.

I have the flowmaster version single out with hide away tip. I have a custom 3" to 4" Y pipe custom designed by Nicks Muffler shop in Plano that is designed for max flow. It will fit several types of headers. Let me know if your intersted or know if anyone is. I'm in North Richland Hills (Fort Worth).. I've included a picture link below. Let me know what you have for trade.. I'm interested in any LS1 parts. I'd also take $500 cash.

Question for you all: isn't it pointless to have 4" exhuast since aftermarket Ypipes are only 3? Or do you find 4" Y-pipes?
Yeah, I know, the .065-wall tubing and bends is pretty heavy, but I shouldn't EVER have to worry about this Y-pipe rusting/rotting or getting crushed by something stupid.
