Default LS6 Valley cover vs. Catch Can

I have both an LS6 vally cover and a catch can (currently uninstalled). I've searched around and can't find a clear answer on weather I sould run one over the other or should just do both. I have an 02 TA and I'm unsure if I'll need to cut the block for the LS6 valley cover to fit? Is there a benifit to running one over the other? I'm getting a little bit of oil in the intake so I'm hoping to fix that with installing either. So what should I install and why? Thanks, ken

I would say run both of them.... but yes the LS6 cover would be the 1st item to go with and then check and see if your still getting oil in the intake, if yes, then add the Catch Can.

Is there a difference in design between a truck pcv and ls1?

Bullshit

And I still have the chunk out of my block (2002) to prove it

It really isn't that big of a deal though...as for what to do, I run both, and it works just fine.

I have an 01 and had to cut my block. Not all 01-02s got the LS6 block. Anyways, I run an LS6 valley and a catch can. The LS6 valley was worthless. I got just as much oil in the intake as before. The valley does make a nice shorter route to the can tho. I'd say if you have to cut the block then skip it, if not, then use it. If it works and keeps your intake dry, great. I'd hold on to the catch can tho, you may need it.

Tell me about it I was PISSED, but a few minutes with a Dremel and a cutoff wheel and all was right with the world Talk about the potential to screw something up though
