pacesetter y pipe hitting floor

Default pacesetter y pipe hitting floor

i installed my headers this weekend and the y pipe is hitting the floor board under acceleration. how do you fix that i dont understand the concept of the y pipe bumpstop thing how does it work is there any other ways to get it not to hit the car.

get some header wrap, heater hose and some hose clamps. where ever its hitting wrap it in header wrap, then feed the hose clamp through the heater hose and squeeze the heater hose inbetween the y-pipe and where it's hitting

+1 ... Poly mounts should always be done when doing headers. Mine weren't that bad at all once the manifolds were out of the way, and I don't have to deal with the damn exhaust slamming the floorboard.
