Problem with corvette intake on a camaro...
I bought a corvette intake from a board member to help clean up my engine bay till I get the money for an ls6 intake. I got it all on today and found that there is no way to mount the throttle cable bracket. Is this right? How does the bracket mount on the corvettes? It doesn't have the brass inserts with the treads. What is the best way to fix this so I can use it? I'd like to get my car back together tomorrow. Let me know asap. Thanks alot for your help.

The question is, why did you put the Corvette manifold on your car?
And why don't yput just reuse the throttle body off your Camaro?
Still confused as to why you changed it if it isn't an LS6 intake.

Re: Problem with corvette intake on a camaro...
I changed it so I could paint it and also to clean up the engine bay. The corvette intake doesn't have the egr hole on it. I'm using my throttle body but the throttle cable bracket has nowhere to connect on the corvette intake. It has the holes for it but not the brass inserts that have the treads. I'm probably gonna pull it off tomorrow cause I've got a car show this weekend and don't have time to mess with it. Let me know if you can think of anything to do. Thanks alot.

Use a dremel and remove the brass inserts from the stock intake, then seat them into the corvette intake for now. You could also go buy a really long threaded bolt and use the added length to crack the brass inserts out of the plastic.
