All 2001-2002 F-bodies came with the LS6 Intake. The LS6 Intake does not have EGR which is present on the 1998-2000 F-bodies

Check to see if it has one of these part numbers

LS6 intake manifold (01-02 F-body) = 88894339 (formerly 88890524, 88890523, 12561184)
LS6 intake manifold (from Corvette Z06) = ? (formerly 12573572)

Definitely is an LS6 intake. If it was an LS1 intake, there'd be a tube sticking into it from the top (an ugly tube too) right behind the throttle body that would be coming from the EGR solenoid (also ugly) that'd be bolted to the front of your passenger side head...I can't wait to find time to make my 2000 look more like an 01/02 under the hood (I have all the parts to do it...just don't have time to take get it done).

i noticed today during my switch that the part numbers switch sides on the intakes, i think the ls1 is on the passenger side and the ls6 is the drivers side, that might be a new easier way to tell
