Running without and IAC motor??
Okay, my car is running better then it did with the IAC motor plugged in..
It no longer hunt's and surges looking for a proper idle...
I've had several people tell me that the car shouldn't be operating without
it..
Ever since the IAC was removed it's stopped running P0300 codes, which
is a random misfire (I figure you know that though).
The only thing the car does is try to die the first maybe ten minutes it's running.
But I believe that Is because it is cold and we've not been able to get it tuned. Other then that, the car runs without any problems, unless we plug the IAC in again...
Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thge IAC is brand new, we bought a new one,
but the thing is we took it out.
I just thought it was odd that it was running better and not
running anymore misfire codes.

Don't you have to do something to the plunger when you install a new IACV? Like adjust it or whatever.
Like Full-Force said, once you remove the valve it just allows the entire volume of air in that little passage to flow through at all times. So it will run fine, but I would think it idle way high or just weird.

If it's just unplugged, the IAC is sitting in its 'parked' position. The reason why it stalls when the engine is cold is because the IAC is usually allowing 2x as much air past after initial startup.
I don't know why the IAC would be causing misfires though. If the car wasn't running/idling right with the IAC plugged in, that's a tuning issue. You can adjust how it reacts through quite a few tables. Many times, cam'd applications need to have the IAC settings softened up vs. their original factory settings. It takes a few tries, but it can be done for a more consistent idle from startup to operating temps.

If I could tune it I would. but finances are not good right now, my job has
been working me a minimum of 3 days a week at about 3-5hours a day.
Anyone know of a good tuner any where in Vegas? or maybe close like that?
I Live in Kingman Arizona and I need to know of a reliable good tuner that I can go to when I get my money
