You could do it with stock injectors, but those would be at 95% duty cycle. I would recommend a 30# (@ 43.5psi) injector, like the Ford SVO 30# red tops, they actually are 36# on GM rated pressure (58psi) ... if you were N/A. How big of a shot of nitrous are you planning on running, that will determine the injector size, it could be 42#.

No lower than 36# rated at 43 psi = 42# @ our 58 psi. If I had to do it all over again I'd buy 42# injectors. I now have FAST 36# and they will be at their limit next racing season.

hard to say what the combo will put down.

assuming the heads flow 300cfm, and the compression is near 11:1, i would think that combo through a 4th gen Fbody drivetrain (t56/10bolt) would put down 430-440rwhp tuned well.

with a bigger rear you could lose 10-20 additional hp to the wheels.

Stock injectors but upgrade the fuel pump as not to run lean when you hit the juice. I just got almost the same set up and went with a Racetronic fuel system. I read an article where 8 LS1s were running 9s and 10s on stock injectors. Good luck.

If you weren't hitting that shot, I'd say the SVO 30s. I have those and I am at about 82% duty cycle. Perfect for a H/C/I car. With the nitrous, 42s would be a minimum IMO. Wouldn't hurt to go even bigger for that "just in case".

My estimate would be 420ish RWHP on the motor and you could be pushing 530ish with a 150 shot. Just a shot in the dark. I don't know anything about N20, just what I read in peoples sigs.

... and how light were those cars? The most horsepower you can expect from stock injectors would be around 450rwhp, but running an AFR of 13.3:1 at peak horsepower. Any richer and they will be on all the time, eventually failing in a short time. Not a good idea for a street car, but for a race car it would do.

Key being peak HP. I dont think any street car runs 450HP constantly on the road. At least I hope not.

42's would be optimum for your set up. I am at 97% duty right now and am about ready to due a overhaul of the fuel system.

Depending on the miles on the car you may also want to look at the racetronics fuel pump and wire harness. It seems liek the fuel pumps have started to become a problem as most of the ls1 are getting higher miles and abused a bit more.

How come you all keep asking how big the shot is??? HE SAID WET SHOT, not DRY. If your using a plate system the injector size is not related to how much nitros your running.

So we have recomendations from STOCK to 42lbs. Stock is stupid because the injectors will be maxed out long before the engine is. Unless you are running a wet shot (which you said you were not), 42lb injectors are too big. 30lb injectors will get you a DS around 83% which is good as long as you do not plan any further upgrades. If you think you might get a bigger cam later, I'd go with 36lb. Eith one will work fine.

i was leaning towards the SVO 36's and the shot is a wet shot.

this is in a 69 camaro so all the ls1 fuel pump BS is out the window. the pump is a walbro 340
