Is it true because I work for advance and I can get my 20% discount on headers I just wanna know how good they seal and will I have a big ground clearance issue?

Clearance isn't an issue with the headers themselves. The Y pipe is what'll hit sometimes.
I just installed a set over the weekend. I'm happy so far.
Seriously, How much more gain can a set of Pacesetter's yield??
Flowtech may not be the best, but most LT's will give you around the same HP gains.
If you can buy a set at a discounted price, I say do it.

normal stress load they can warp, some people have success and other have nothign but problems.
If you can get them for 20% off I would do it as it is worth a try and anything is better than stock.
If you have problems with them you could proabably sell them for what you would have into them and get some pacesetters or better quality headers.
Make sure you get new GM gaskets and take your time TQ them down and follow the instructions.

i've had flowtechs for 4yrs
the ground clearance is fantastic and the install was smooth as silk. the Ypipe clearance was PERFECT.
the coating on the collectors started peeling after about a year, but it also flooded in salt water during a hurricane once.
the flange is thicker than 1/4" i'm pretty sure...i'd say about 3/8"
i'm happy with them.
the power is gonna be the same for almost any LT...
