Default 160 thermostat

i just bought a 160 degree thermostst
mr gasket part # 6367 ( just the thermostat no housing)
will this work on my 99 formula or do i need to order one with the housing

That is the correct thermostat. You will be able to push in and then twist your old thermostat out of the housing and then reuse the housing. I have never understood why manufacters sell the housing with the thermostat.

Well just went to autozone and picked up a mr gasket 6367 and there is no way it will work not even close thought the autozone computer says it will. You can remove the old thermostat but the new one is not the same ill take pics later

I had checked that number with jegs and it was listed as a ls1 thermostat. Something was definitely messed up along the way. Sorry about the wrong info.

yeah on the package it says 04 or newer ls engines
