Default Installed long-tubes.. two problems.

I'm running open headers for now.. only for a couple days. I took the car out and it seems to shut off when I don't touch the throttle for a few seconds. I coasted down my driveway in gear and it shut off.. clutched in for a few seconds to coast down a road at another point and it shut off.

Other problem is the stereo says "loc" on it and nothing comes up. I'm not as concerned about this for now.

Do you have the front O2 sensors hooked up?

Yes. I got tired and came back in (parked on the street). I'll check tomorrow just to make sure when everyone is out of the house (don't want to pull back into the garage for now).

Right, just make sure you plugged the front ones in and not the rears. What sensors did you get to replace or did you use extensions?

I got my extensions off of WS6store. 2 24" extensions. Fairly certain I made sure I did it right. Hopefully I didn't, though. That would make this easy.

X2 on the sensors. As for stereo, did you unhook the battery? Mine does that when I unhook it. There is a code you put in to get it back on.

IMO if you're running open headers I wouldn't even plug the fronts in. You can leave them there, but if you plug them in, the fresh air so close to them might make them act somewhat erratic.

Make sure you didn't connect a rear 02 plug to the front sensor, I did that by mistake because it was close to the new sensor position on the lt's. The rears are above the transmission (automatic) and by the trans mount. Also the front o2's may not be getting hot enough to make a good read and are making a crazy adjustment, causing the car to stall out.

Yeah.. I read about 10 different installation guides while doing it. The most I've ever done to a car is change a spare, change the oil, put on my lid and JAAM Ram Air. Needless to say, it took a while. I spent parts of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday doing the install. Maybe 15-20 hours total.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'm gonna try unplugging the O2s and see where that gets me.

Unplugging the O2s cleared it up. It runs kinda whack, but I can manage for now until I get my exhaust done.

One problem I just noticed is it's difficult to get into reverse. It feels like it's locked out.
