Default Engine mount ?

How do you tell if an engine mount is bad or is going bad ?

If it's broken you should be able to see it shaking or moving around while the engine is running.

Yea you will have alot more movement in the motor than normal. How many miles are on it?

38k miles. Sounds like that might be it. Seems like it's rocking or shaking quite a bit more than normal at idle. Not sure how it might have happened. The car sits over winters.

Don't worry mine has 22K on it and the engine shakes and moves. Its jusy the rubber motor mounts get old get some poly or solid motor mounts and you'll be fine

Try replacing the tranny mount first, I recommend stock or 1LE mounts - don't like poly on the tranny mount as it's too harsh. I do like poly engine mounts, only a tiny bit more harshness but much more solid. Harder to tell on motor mounts because of the location. I'd replace the tranny mount and see how it goes. You should have done the motor mounts when you did the headers... I made the same mistake.

If you replace the motor mounts go with poly They are very nice to have

Yea, go with the poly mounts if you change it out. Definitely makes a difference.
