Could a ported TB cause a low/rough idle?
My car has been idling low and fairly rough for a while now. I went and raise the idle manually by elevating the screw underneath the TB, and that worked temporarily until the computer somehow relearned and went back to normal. If any of my mods are causing the problem, it has to be the TB, which was ported by a local machine shop. The actual TB hole was not enlarged at all, but more or less the machine shop just smoothed out on the inside. Could this be the cause of the problem?

I wish I had that prob...
Mine idles high and I can't change it.
Any way I try to get it down, the computer raises it back up.

Re: Could a ported TB cause a low/rough idle?
When I first ported my TB I had no idle problems, but when I ported it another time (realised I could port it a little more and also I epoxied the large hole where the IAC is (using a pen to let air pass there)) my idle quality was CRAPPY! I could not make it idle cold. I enlarged the hole and idle was ok but I got the "cruise-control" effect while cruising, so I epoxied the hole back a bit and my idle was crappy again. Then I drilled out the pen of the epoxy and this worked for me... now great idle even on cold start with my IIx heads and big cam.
