Default metco breather ?'s

is there anything special needed to use these? do I need to change anything else to use them? and what good do they do?

They relieve pressure in the engine, which depending on how many miles you have, can contribute to blown gaskets. Good mod for peace of mind and extra care for motor with mods and hard use. Nothing special, come for LS1's, hooks right up.

thanks man for the info, so... do I need 2 of them? (one for back driver side and one for where oil fill cap is on passenger side?)

Ideally yes! but I only changed one on oil fill cap, since I have stock internals. it is sufficient for my set up as I my ride is not blown (Turbo, supercharger).

I dont recommend using it in cold weather environments. I had one on my car and during the winter the cold make it expand (or contract) and the breather element came off. I caught it before it fell completely off. Other than that it works great.
